I think Bura was just speaking the truth without the intention of offending anyone. He was correct as well and the Islanders should be very embarrassed as they did no put up much of a fight in either game.

I think there will be two key's to the Capitals playoff success this year.

#1. Get Ovi on a roll, If you get him to 50 goals heading into the playoffs, it will get him and the entire team going at the perfect time.

#2. Embrace the underdog status. Everyone seems to be writing the Caps off before they even get to try. I believe this is a positive because they can kind of sneak in unnoticed and take advantage of that.

Kuz should be fine before the playoffs and if anything will some back rested and refreshed.

No he's playing tonight. He's showing up a day early to decide if he'd like to buy or rent the arena.

There are no excuses. It's all random events and luck.

In what scenario would a presidents trophy winner play the leafs in the first round?

Why would any caps fans still be bitter about playing the leafs last year? Sure it was close, but so were lots of series’. The leafs were good last year, but not great.
I doubt anyone even cares at this point. They beat the inferior team and lost to the superior team. That’s what they’ll remember. Not which team they beat in 6 last season

Such a lame attempt at a plug for the leafs

Unlike last year, the leafs got a real shot at it all, but still behind a few teams that are ahead of them imo.

Pens, preds, jets, tbay

It’s close, but I’d say The leafs are In that next tier with
Bruins, caps, wild, sharks

Presidents trophy winners are the real Champions. Playoffs is just random window dressing based on luck. I paid off my credit card. I know you all want to know this.

I think we are really "lucky" here at the Buzz to have such talented bloggers as JT. I mean anyone who believes "luck" determines winning 16 games in the playoffs is at the top of his blog career.....Luck can only get you so far....thus here you are JT at hockeybuzz!

"You can bet every single Caps fan remains bitter about that"....I know a handful of Caps fans, none of them remain bitter and quite frankly they got over it a few days after losing. Only you JT remain bitter....its very clear that your point of perspective is extremely bitter.....Do you still live in the mentality of a 4 year old, holding grudges and not having the capacity in yourself to "let go". Hey, its your life though....remain bitter.....Your twitter account is full of awesome bitterness!!

The point I was making was that it wasn't much of a reward for finishing 1st in the league to have to play such a strong opening round opponent.
